No. Converia maps the conference process and transfers the relevant data to the systems you are already using. Accounting and CRM remain where your organization manages them – Converia integrates with them instead of replacing them.
Which systems can be connected directly?
Converia offers interfaces for accounting, CRM, and identity management systems, including ready-to-use integrations for DATEV and SAP, authentication via LDAP, and single sign-on via Shibboleth or OpenID Connect. Which of these can be connected directly in your case depends on the specific system. We will clarify this in detail during a consultation, taking your existing infrastructure into account.
What happens with systems for which there is no ready-made interface?
That is what the REST API is for. It allows you to retrieve conferences, people, and contributions and integrate them programmatically, even if no pre-built connection exists. During our consultation, we will assess what is realistic via the API and what is worth the effort.
Can we connect Converia to our central login?
Yes. Backend users can be authenticated via LDAP, and single sign-on via Shibboleth integrates university or staff accounts directly. Association members can authenticate against the member management system using OpenID Connect. We will coordinate with your IT department to determine exactly how this will work for your system.
Where is the data that flows between the systems processed?
Converia is hosted on servers in Europe within an ISO 27001-certified data center and processes data in compliance with the GDPR.
